If someone posts a defamatory comment about you on the internet and they do it anonymously, or they make up a name and do it with a pseudonym, it's not as simple as you would think to find out the identity of that person. There are legal ways that you can do it. By subpoena. By filing certain types of suits that enable you to get access to information that would tell you who that person is. But it's a complicated process and you really need to consult somebody who has done that before.
