What Kinds of Damages Are Available in a Florida Cruise Ship Accident Case?

There are typically two types of damages that are available in cruise ship accident cases. One is what we call economic damages. Those are damages that you can calculate. They're things like if you were out of work, the money that you lost and not earning money, your medical expenses, your co-payments, your deductibles, things of that nature.

The other type of damages are what we call non-economic damages. Those are the pain and suffering that you experienced, the emotional distress, the trauma associated with the accident. In extreme cases, sometimes punitive damages are available.
